Preserving the Legacy Since 1986
Your Journey,
Our Shared Legacy
For many of us, the roar of the crowd, the precision of the drill, and the camaraderie of the Blue Thunder Marching Band were defining moments. But as time passes, it's easy to feel disconnected from that vibrant community and the legacy we helped build.
The Blue Thunder Alumni Association (BTAA) was founded to preserve and celebrate the legacy of the Boise State University Blue Thunder Marching Band. Guided by the principles outlined in our constitution, we are a community of alumni dedicated to fostering connections, supporting the band’s current members, and championing the values of leadership, community, and musical excellence that have defined Blue Thunder for decades.
Our Purpose At BTAA, our mission is rooted in three core goals:
Connecting Alumni: We unite past members of Blue Thunder to celebrate shared experiences and build lasting friendships. Our events, reunions, and networking opportunities create a vibrant alumni community that extends beyond the university.
Supporting the Band: We provide resources, mentorship, and encouragement to current members of the Blue Thunder Marching Band. By funding scholarships, enhancing band programs, and cheering from the stands, we ensure the band continues to thrive.
Advocating for Music Education: Through outreach and advocacy, we promote the importance of music education and the role of the marching band in enriching the Boise State experience.
Our Values The BTAA constitution emphasizes inclusivity, collaboration, and service. Whether you marched, played, or led the band, every alumni voice is welcome and valued. Together, we aim to honor our history while paving the way for future generations to experience the power of music and teamwork.
